"God’s love is an exercise of His goodness towards individual sinners whereby, having identified Himself with their welfare, He has given His Son to be their Savior, and now brings them to know and enjoy Him in a covenant relation."

J. I. Packer

Stoked to see Peter Busher using his God-given talents to teach others. Peter is our graduating senior, Gathering UMD drummer. He’s served our community for over 2 years in the band and he will definitely be missed.

At the end of my bike ride yesterday, I decided to tour the Town of Berwyn in College Park. This area is right over the railroad tracks from where I live in Berwyn Heights. There are so many classic houses that have been renovated and look really nice. I’ve been praying about whether or not God would provide a different house for me to live in this August. This neighborhood is near the top of my list. My friends the Kuligowski’s live in this area and I’d love to have friends even closer. I shall continue to pray, look and think.

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless–it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."

C. S. Lewis

"Singleness is not a disease to be quickly remedied. Rather, singleness is a gift that should be stewarded well until the time comes when you begin another stage of life as a married person. Accept that singleness affords you freedom and benefits you won’t have when married, and use this time of life wisely to finish your education, travel for missions, serve the church, establish your career, and create a solid financial base free of debt."

"Wisdom is a disposition to confess that He is wise, and to cleave to Him and live for Him in the light of His word through thick and thin."

God is an emotional being.

“How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender. I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst. and I will not come in wrath.” (Hosea 11:8-9)
